Minnesota life8
This homestay was so good experience for my life. I met many kind people.
I was so happy to stay my host family's house.I will write year book essay.
Dear my host family
I have been to the foreign country for the first time. So, I was very excited and I had a good experience.Minnesota has many lakes and they are very beautiful. I like lakes in Minnesota. There are very beautiful nature and many animals. I saw deer and squirrels for the first time in Minnesota. When I was in Japan, I couldn't talk positively to teacher of the foreigner because I was afraid that it was wrong, but my host family and people who live inMinnesota listen to me even if I speak very slowly and I don't speak English well. I know that it is very fun to take communication. So, I'm not afraid to talk foreigner in English. People who come from various countries live in America. So, I made friends who are not from America. "I learned my health.I have a jetlag. It is very hard. I don't care it, so I'm sleeply all day and very tired. If you have a jetlag, you must have a break. You must not have a cafeine. After school, I went to Cub foods. It is shopping store. It is popular in America. Iwas very surprised. Foods are very big. I found new thing. "
I remembered. American food is very big. I saw big apple pie, big suger, many big doughnuts and so on the first time!!!! The shopping store was so large!!
I was so surprised. I found the American green tea. The green tea was in the suger. Why did American people use suger in green tea? I didn't understand it:(
I can't drink the green tea. How do you think it?
My host grandmother made a chocolate cake. It was so sweet, but it was very good!! American sweets were so sweet. If I eat many American sweets everyday, I will be fat!! Ice cream was so big. The size was family size!! I think that the exercise is very important in America.

In Minnesota, the class was activities every friday. I went canoing up the river. The river was the Mississippi. It was soooo big river! I went canoing up the river the first time. I was very exciting!! My host mother and father were good at canoing. They told me how to cano. they said " You are very good player!!"
I was so happy!! Next friday, I went horse riding. It was the first time for me!! My host father came it!! I like animals. I was so exciting too. There were two dogs. I played with dogs. Horses were very quiete. I like them. I liked horse riding. I want to go horse riding again.
The first friday, I went to many places. I went to the Minnesota history center, MN history center jigsaw, MN State Capital and St. Paul Cathedral. I saw the foregin castle the first time. Next day, I came back home. The women came home. She was host sister. She is very interesting, so I liked to talk with her. She had many friends and boyfriend. She looked like very happy every day. I like sweets and she likes sweets. She was good at makeing sweets. I make chocolate cookies with her, but I didin't know how to make it. She told me how to make it. I helped her and learned how to make it. I was very surprise. She used much suger!!! In Japan, I didn't use so suger when I made chocolate cookies with my mother.
Chocolate cookies were very sweet!!! It was very good taste. I enjoyed making it and talking with her. After that, she came home again. My host brother will get married after I come back Japan. Host sister, host mother, her sister and I went shopping. Host mother's sister bought a dress. She was so beautiful. After that, we came back home. I and host sister made an apple pie. Second day, I went waking with my host mother and father after school. They said ,"Where are you going the forest or the lake?". I was very surprised. There weren't the forest and the lake near my house in Japan. I walked for an hour, I saw the lake!! There were very beautiful, but there were many mosquitoes.

Bad Holiday
Last saturday, I had a cold. It was so hard for me. I had a headache. I went to the hospital. A doctor said," you may be a influenza." I was a shock because I had to go a part time job Sunday!! A coming of age Day
January 14th, It was a coming of age day!! I was 20 years old, so I took part in it. i got up at five. I got up so early because I had to set up my hair and wear kimono. I was very sleepy. At ten, I went to the gym. There were the coming of age celebration. Many people came there. I met my friends. They were very beautiful because they wore kimono. I was very happy to see them and to take pictures with them. After that, I went to the Elselmo. This place is to marry. There was an alumni.

iPad game
Today we played some iPad games. There were word games, boggle, Word Magic and Ult. Hangman.
Boggle is a game in which we have to find three words, it was little difficult. Word Magic is a game in which we have to add one letter. It was easy. Ult. Hangman is a game in which we find a word without hits. If we make mistakes, people are killed. This game is the most difficult in three. There is nowhere like Scotland. Scotland is the country north of England, part of Great Britain(England, Scotland and Wales) and of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). It is a country in a country.
Scotland is a book in the Facfiles series. Factfiles, as you may know, is a sub-series of Oxford Bookworms. Scotland is a Stage 1 book.
The book is divided into ten chapters. Each chapter consists of two facing pages, with the exception of Chapter 1 , which is an introductory chapter of only one page. The ten chapters are: This is Scotland, Scotland today, Scotland's past, Edinburgh, Glasgow, The highlands, The islands, Traditional Scotland, Eating and Drinking, Scotland tomorrow. These ten chapters are followed by a map and, as with other Factfiles books, some exercises and a glossary.
The language, as one would expect with a Stage 1 book, is quite simple, the only difficult feature being the large number of proper nouns, unavoidable in a book introducing a city. Sentences tend to be quite short and simple. For example, the 18 sentences on page 2 have the following lengths 9, 16, 15, 15, 22, 6, 14, 10, 21, 17, 12, 21, 14, 13, 12, 17, 11, and 12. This yields a mean of 14.2 words per sentence. The general pattern appears to be a short sentence followed by a longer one. Looking more closely at the longer sentences, we can see that many are composed of two indepent dauses joined by the conjunction "but" or"and".

My favorite club
My favorite club
is the Brass Band club. When I was a high school student, I belonged to the
Brass Band club. I played the Bass clarinet. It was very big and the tone was very
low. I liked it. The Brass band uses many musical instruments. I try to play
other instruments. It was very fun, but I like to play the Bass clarinet the
best. My club had many people. We were very close. I liked them very much. A
teacher was very good player. He played the flute. He was very well. He
commanded our club. He was very good conductor.
He was sometimes angry to us. We were afraid of him, but we liked him because we liked his music very much. We practiced every day. I was tired, but I enjoyed every day because I liked to play it with my teammates. Next, I want to play other instruments. I try to play it someday. I want to play a cello. I like cello's tone, but my hand is very small. It is a little hard for me to play it. I want to play a horn too!! I like horn's form.(10001/12000)

favorite vacation memory is last Christmas. I went Tokyo because my favorite
musician had a concert. I went to the concert with my aunt. I was very happy to
see them last Christmas. I bought their goods. These goods were very cool.
Tokyo was very cold. I and my aunt felt very cold. There was a concert near the
sea. We could see the sea. At seven, it started to the concert. I was very
excited. My favorite musician was so cool!!! I was so happy to hear their song.
Last Christmas was the best vacation in my life. After the concert, I went to
my aunt's house. I stayed there. I could see my cousins. I was happy too. I
talked to them a long time. I enjoyed talking them. I took a picture with them.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I went Oita because I met my grandparents. They live in Oita. My parents were born there. My grandparents grow vegetables. They gave me cabbages, chinese cabbages, long green onions and broccolis. It was so good taste and fresh. I like vegetables. I was happy to eat it.
Do you know otoshidama? In Japan, parents and grandparents give their children money. Japanese children are looking forward to getting money every osho-gatsu. I got money from my parents and grandparents. I bought a fukubukuro. (9655/12000)
